Ph.D student
Yunjia Yang is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Dance and Health Research. Her research focuses on the effects of Dance for older adults at risk for dementia. She has presented her research at various national and international conferences.
2021 - Present
Research Assistant
As a research assistant, Yunjia Yang assisted in conducting research in Dr. Zhao Chen's team on the effects of Tai Chi and Dance on mental and physical health. She also contributed to multiple research papers on the topic.
2009 - Present
Dance Instructor
Yunjia Yang has taught various movement forms including Chinese classical and folk dance, Modern dance, Tai Chi and Yoga to students of all ages. She has also choreographed multiple dance performances for school and community events.

Yunjia Yang is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Dance and Public Health Research from the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on the effects of Dance and Tai Chi for disease prevention and health promotion.

Master's Degree in Dance
Yunjia Yang completed her Master's degree in Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance from Beijing Dance Academy, which a premier Dance school in China. During her graduate studies, she received training in multiple traditional Chinese dance forms. She also conducted several ethnographic dance research in Chinese minority groups.
